The United States wanted to be neutral so it became an isolationist country. The United States lend-leased products to the Allies and President FDR sought the war as an opportunity to solve unemployment from the recent Great Depression. Due to the U.S. embargoing trade with Japan, the Japanese bombed U.S.'s military site at Pearl Harbor. The United States entered the war and started to focus on getting rid of Hitler. Then the US wanted to attacked the Japanese due to the countless lives lost at Pearl. The US warned Japan that they would bomb there territory but the Japanese thought it was a bluff. Soon Japan were nuclear bombed twice and the Japanese back down from the United States. Nuclear bombs commit horrendous acts of destroying mass populations in cities. The United States had the right to bomb Japan because countless lives were lost and they wanted to end the war.
